I had the privilege of attending an intimate gathering this past weekend during the American Academy of Religion’s annual conference during which we heard from Paul Raushenbush, Senior Religion Editor at The Huffington Post. He spoke about blogging as something that we are called to do regardless of the topic discussed or the form the blog takes. Further, he spoke to ensuring that we are representing the best of our thought online, rather than focusing on quantity (or hits).
I really connected with this point, and, as a result, have decided that from now on I will be posting when I feel called to write a properly reflective piece, rather than striving for a weekly piece, regardless of quality. Expect fewer, better pieces in this space in the future.
And Happy Thanksgivukkah!
