Having had a muted version of the same experience coming to the kotel from Poland, I resonate both with the author, and for the need for discomfort until the unspeakable internal hatred is resolved.
Especially on a week like this, a message that is hard to heed. But it is no less true: “We are not rational enough to be exposed to the press.”
