This week my favourite book of Chumash (for reasons I might get to in my synopsis of שמות, Exodus) comes to an end with more repetition of the detailed instructions for building the mishkan, the Tabernacle and for making the clothing of the High Priest. Rashi classically explains the repetition by saying that the first time these details are mentioned is Hashem instructing Moshe, and the second time is when the instructions are followed through on. A note on the haiku: the last line is a Hebrew word meaning “for your generations” i.e. for all time.
